ABSTRACT
In this entry, the basic theory of parametric interaction and different types of parametric devices are presented. A brief theory of parametric interaction is discussed, considering the factors that are important in the operation of parametric oscillators and amplifiers. The main types of parametric devices are described. Some significant applications and future research directions are presented.
