ABSTRACT

The process of designing illumination optics has significantly evolved over the last several decades. This improves our ability to accurately model the intricacies of the source, the optics, and the other luminaire elements, and to do so in a shorter time frame. Designers can now produce products that produce less glare, use less energy, provide increased flexibility to the users, and reduce other negative elements such as light pollution and light trespass.
