ABSTRACT
Evolutionary theory can inform policy discussion. This entry presents the logic of two models for understanding human behavior: the evolutionary model (EM) as opposed to the standard social science model (SSSM)—and their implications for public policy. Three case studies are presented to illustrate the debate's implications.
