ABSTRACT
This entry examines biotechnology and environmental conservation as measures that could be employed to address food security in Africa. The entry offers cautionary steps on how African countries should address food security with the adoption of sound environmental conservation methods and the integration of indigenous knowledge as creative approaches in the agricultural development process.
