ABSTRACT
The Kelvin probe is a diagnostic tool to measure the contact potential difference between two surfaces and surface potential. The difference in the work function of the two surfaces determines the contact potential difference. The non-invasive and non-contact nature of the Kelvin probe makes it useful to capture multiple data points.
