ABSTRACT
This entry is concentrated on the three major components of an expert system: an interface, monitor, and keyboard that allow two-way communication between the user and the system; a knowledge base where all the knowledge pertaining to domain is stored; an inference engine where the knowledge is extracted and manipulated to solve the problem at hand.
