ABSTRACT
Fluid bed processors have been used for drying, agglomeration, and coating. In addition to a simple fluid bed, the tumbling, agitating, centrifugal, and spiral flow fluid bed and the spouted bed with or without the draft tube have been developed for improving the process performance. This entry is focused on presenting an detailed description of the practical aspects of the fluidized bed processes.
