ABSTRACT
This entry examines the technical and, to a lesser extent, the commercial challenges surrounding the development of a needle-free system and begins by providing an overview of the three broad needle-free technologies: powder injection, depot injection, and liquid injection. The majority of the entry will focus on the technical background of this field, the challenges, and how they have been overcome.
