ABSTRACT
The continuous manufacturing model has been used successfully for many years in the food, personal care, petrochemical, electronics, and polymer industry to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs. This entry details the benefits of continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing, discusses some of the barriers associated with this type of manufacturing, and provides several charts and a brief background for further illustration of key concepts.
