ABSTRACT
Oral drug delivery is the most desirable and preferred method of administering therapeutic agents for achieving systemic therapy. This entry describes the technological advances in oral drug delivery made within the last three decades and various physiochemical and biological barriers, and also provides some insight on future strategies to improve oral drug delivery.
