ABSTRACT
Polymeric materials have been used to coat pharmaceutical solid dosage forms for decorative, protective, and functional purposes. These thin polymeric film coatings may improve the aesthetic appearance and provide easy identification of drug products. This entry discusses formulation development, processing, and testing of polymeric films and film-coated products.
