ABSTRACT
Introduction Hypercalcemia is the most frequent metabolic complication of cancer, with its reported incidence ranging from 15-20 per 100 000 persons. Apparently, patients suffering from breast cancer, multiple myeloma, non-small cell lung cancer and hypernephroma seem most at risk for developing hypercalcemia.
