ABSTRACT
Chemotherapy Patients diagnosed with rapidly proliferating malignancies (aggressive lymphomas, especially Burkitt’s lymphoma, acute lymphoblastic or myeloid leukemia or even multiple myeloma) are at high risk of developing a tumor lysis syndrome. The syndrome occurs most often in children, since they frequently suffer from very aggressive types of cancer.
