ABSTRACT
At higher CTAB concentration, 5×10−4 M (curve 4, Fig. 25), the wetting tension is equal to 53 mN/m, also larger than the surface tension of bulk solution, γo=40 mN/m. Using the isotherm of surface tension of CTAB solutions, γo(Co), the concentration of CTAB solution near the meniscus was estimated. This concentration, Cm=2.5×10−4 M, is two times lower than the concentration of the bulk solution.
