The weighting factor mi is included in Eq. (154) to account for the degeneracy in directions for the projections of the FCHC lattice that were discussed above. Eggels and Somers also include a subgrid-scale stress in their formulation that can be used for Large Eddy Simulation (LES). However, for simplicity, this stress will not be included in the present discussion.
