ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will discuss the phenomena and the theory used to describe the role of capillary action in the impregnation process. The approaches on how these concepts have been applied to liquid molding processes will be presented and the issues of when it is important will be discussed with the help of examples. Finally, our outlook on how one can refine the theory to accurately capture the physics will be discussed.
