ABSTRACT

Zeolites are crystalline alumino-silicates, natural or most often synthesized under autogenous water pressure. The zeolite structure consists of an uninterrupted tridimensional network of tetrahedra centered on Si or A1 atoms and characterized by a [Al+Si]/O molar ratio of 1:2. These silicates have the following general formula:

where M n+ is a cation of valence n and v=x/n.
