ABSTRACT
To enhance the efficiency and economy of mine fire control, the technology of three-phase foam is put forward here. The three-phase foam is composed of ash fly or mud, nitrogen and water. The technology covers the fire-preventing and fire-extinguishing performances of solids, liquids and gases. In other words, the solid can cover the ignited material, the nitrogen can asphyxiate it and the water can cool it. Further more, a new foaming agent and a foaming generator have been developed. And the optimal proportion of concentration between the slurry and the foaming agent is studied. Now, this technology is successfully applied in Yaoqiao and Chaili Coal Mine in China. The results of experiment and application indicate that the three-phase foam with nitrogen is much better than others. Therefore, it will be widely applied in the future.
