ABSTRACT

Pesticide management in China is still imperfect. The key problem is that the ‘Pesticide Registration Regulation’ has no legal force; it is only a recommended process. As a result, illegal or poor quality pesticides can and often do enter the market and there is no legal way to punish transgressors. Therefore, it is urgent for China to pass enforceable pesticide legislation as soon as possible.
