ABSTRACT

New brachiopod collections provide new information on the correct systematic position of several Upper Permian genera from Inner Mongolia and elsewhere. Mongolina Grabau, 1931 is shown to belong to the Family Gillediidae, Subfamily Hemiptychinae. Restudy of the internal structures of the type species of Morrisina confirms that it is a junior synonym of Hemiptychina. Heterelasmina is considered to be a substantive valid genus. Amurothyris and Permicola are placed within the Family Heterelasminidae. Praeangustothyris is confirmed as belonging to the Family Angustothyrididae, rather than to Notothyrididae.
