ABSTRACT

The foliar application of S as 1-2 per cent sulphuric acid and or P as 1-2 per cent phosphoric acid on Lavandula angustifolia in Egyptian plantations, showed an increase both in height and fresh and dry weights; the best yield of essential oil was after foliar application of 1 per cent S. It was found that there was also an effect on uptake of other minerals from the soil using foliar S and/or P (Hussein et al., 1996).
