ABSTRACT
Neroli oil is obtained from the flowers of bitter orange (Citrus aurantium L.); the origin of its name is the consequence of the predilection for the orange flowers water by the princess Anna Maria de la Tremoïlle de Noirmutier, wife of Flavio Orsini duke of Bracciano and prince of Nerola (La Face, 1942; Igolen, 1946).
