ABSTRACT

This chapter looks at the need to provide practical and emotional support for people in conflict and describes the sources of the support that are available. Working with bullies and the bullied can be both difficult and exhausting and even the most resilient and resourceful professionals may find that they lack the knowledge or skills to deal with particular situations, people or organisations. The chapter explores the quality of communication which is essential for effective counselling, advising and guiding both the bully and the bullied. It begins by looking at the organisation.
