ABSTRACT
The development of small, unmanned, semi-submersibles started at International Submarine Engineering (ISE) in 1980. Since then, ISE has built 12 vehicles for military and civilian applications. In 1996, Lockheed Martin commenced development of a minehunting semi-submersible. These two activities comprise the main body of experience in unmanned semi-submersible vehicles.
