ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to develop a leadership model for principals of senior high schools based on spiritual intelligence, practicality and effectiveness. The research method used a staged development procedure, based on an ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model. The subjects of the research were headmasters of senior high schools in Merangin district, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative methods. As a result of this study, a leadership model for headmasters based on spiritual intelligence was successfully built and declared valid by experts with a validation value of 86.67% (very good) in relation to the principal leadership material. Furthermore, the validation of the principal leadership program scored an average of 4.03, equating to an achievement level of 80.62%, placing it in the ‘good’ category. Validation of leadership design based on spiritual intelligence with an average score of 4.0 with achievement 87.80% with very valid category.
