ABSTRACT

In recent years, a growing number of software packages for Computer-Aided Control System Design (CACSD) have become available. With varying degrees of sophistication, all these packages aid the control system engineer with efficient numerical analysis and graphical data representation. Only a few CACSD systems, however, go beyond theoretical control system analysis to offer support for the task of implementing control laws in hardware and software: interfacing to the real world for data acquisition, control operation, and experimental design verification.
