ABSTRACT

In recent years we have witnessed a plethora of technological changes that have drastically altered our view of the role computers play in the workplace. One such change has been in the area of computer networks. Computer users now view the computer as an instantaneous medium for communication among users and also as a window to a wide world of information. Electronic mail, bulletin boards, audio broadcasts, electronic literature, whiteboards, conference calls, and many other services are now in widespread use. The so-called “information superhighway” is rapidly becoming a reality.
