ABSTRACT

The rat-rat hybridoma technique was introduced by Bazin and his colleagues in 1986 in China and it has been successfully established for the first time at our laboratory of Beijing Institute for Cancer Research. As Galfré and Bazin indicated, the rat hybridoma system is a very helpful tool for biomedical research.1 , 2 For this research, a large amount of ascitic monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was produced and it was used to prepare peroxidase anti-peroxidase (PAP complex). Their characteristics were studied. The purpose of this research is to establish a more sensitive and specific unlabeled antibody-enzyme (PAP method) of rat for widespread application of the rat hybridoma technique.
