ABSTRACT
In this chapter methods for the analysis of the specificity of rat monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against cell surface antigens are illustrated with examples of MAbs directed against human normal leukocytes, activated lymphocytes, or leukemic cells (cALL). Analysis includes:
Study of the reactivity of the MAbs with a large number of normal cells or leukemic/lymphoma cells
Biochemical analysis of the antigen
Competition/blocking assays using reference MAbs
Determination of the biological activity of the MAbs (see also Chapter 30).
