ABSTRACT

When the hybridomas are growing, a few days after the fusion, the choice of an appropriate screening assay is essential to quickly and easily identify the positive cultures. The use of rat monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) directed against heavy or light chains of mouse immunoglobulins (Igs) is one of the best and easiest methods to screen mouse fusion. We can use Enzyme Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA), radioimmunoassay, or immunofluorescence techniques (Figure 1).
