ABSTRACT
The advances of civilization are increasingly forcing the need for the adaptation or modernization of works in heritage-listed buildings. Modern technologies for deep foundation construction allow and facilitate adaptation and modernization of works in a way that is safe for existing buildings. With this kind of works, it is possible to introduce new functional and spatial solutions which allow for a more effective use or exposure of heritage-listed buildings.
