ABSTRACT
Most carcinomas use lymphatic vessels for local and remote dissemination, so the lymphatic system (LS) may be affected in oncological patients due to either locoregional progression of the tumor or oncological treatment (surgery, chemo- and radiotherapy); for this reason, it is essential to have thorough anatomical knowledge of lymph flows and nodal centers.
