Medical cannabis, or commonly called “medical marijuana,” refers to the use of cannabis compounds in the treatment of specific medical conditions. Medical marijuana programs define the medical use, cultivation specifics, and dispensing of cannabis through a physician who certifies that a patient meets the criteria to obtain and use cannabis.
