ABSTRACT

Cannabinoids are a diverse group of chemical compounds that bind to receptors throughout the human body and are collectively known as the endocannabinoid system. Scientists have come to believe that the endocannabinoid system may be the most widely distributed receptor system in the human body [1]. Cannabinoid receptors in the brain, lungs, liver, kidneys, and immune system are activated by the therapeutic and psychoactive properties in cannabis [2].
