ABSTRACT
It is shown that in the turbulent regime of systems with period-doubling subharmonic bifurcations, the maximum Lyapunov characteristic exponent behaves like λ ¯ = λ ¯ 0 ( r − r c ) t https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780203734636/af41cd04-f159-4387-917e-fec41ddcf0d6/content/inequ24_302_1.tif"/> , with t a universal exponent which is calculated to be t = 0.4498069… .
