ABSTRACT
A brief review of the tunnelling and underground works carried out todate in Singapore is presented together with the main soil formation in which they are carried out. A listing of the equipment used for tunnelling works is also provided. Subsurface works now being undertaken including the 20 km North East Line, Changi Airport Line, Deep Tunnel Sewerage System and underground cavern development follows. A brief look at the future works then follows.
