ABSTRACT

In recent years, various kinds of engineering underground activities in large cities are often carried out in soft ground, which often cause environmental soil damage such as ground subsidence, deformation, settlement and so on. Its effect on nearby environment is extremely prominent. The prime concerns of this paper deal with the soil disturbance and the surrounding soil stability control under shield tunneling. The article investigates problems induced by ground surface settlement, as well as its effective control by adjusting the relevant parameters used for shield design and construction.
