ABSTRACT
The new limit states design publication Pre-engineered Connections for Structural Steel Hollow Sections, to be published by the Australian Institute of Steel Construction, is discussed. It provides models and tables of maximum design loads for a range of pre-engineered connections. This paper discusses the models used to prepare the publication and highlights areas where further hollow section connection research is required.
