ABSTRACT

Although this chapter will include the different aspects of rabies observed in the species encompassed by the term “fox”, it will, in fact, mainly deal with the red fox (Vulpes vulpes) and its American subspecies V.v. fulva. Rabies in the Arctic fox (Alopex lagopus) is considered in Chapter 3.
