ABSTRACT
Statistical models and neural networks are suitable to predict the deposition tendency of solid fuels. A new micro reaction pipe supplies experimental data about slagging intensity and radiation relevant optical properties. The prevailing influence on deposition process will be exerted by the 02-dependend particle temperature. Air staging decreases the dangerous temperature level and is helpful to avoid wall touching of reactive flame jets.
