ABSTRACT
Electrical power systems are responsible for generating electrical energy, transporting it as well as distributing it to the customers. The availability of electrical energy to customers has been a key to industrial progress and is essential to the continually improving standard of living of people around the world. The power industry can be considered, by certain measures, the largest industry in the world. This industry employs science and technology to assure a very high degree of reliability without adversely affecting the ecology or the environment.
