ABSTRACT

The author discusses the study of structural dynamics of microemulsions and provides some relevant results. Microemulsions have recently aroused much interest as novel media for chemical reactions. The reasons behind such popularity are easily seen from the unique features of microemulsions. Microemulsions have recently aroused much interest as novel media for chemical reactions. The reasons behind such popularity are easily seen from the unique features of microemulsions. The role of cosurfactant in microemulsion formation is to decrease the interfacial tension, increase the fluidity of interfaces, and adjust the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance value and spontaneous curvature of the interface, leading to the spontaneous formation of microemulsions. Many novel applications of microemulsions will probably emerge in the coming years. The interaction between microemulsion droplets can also influence the stability, structure, and hence the solubilization of microemulsions. Hence solubilization, structure, and properties of microemulsions are all interrelated.
