ABSTRACT
The following is a list of Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved liquid disinfectants and sterilants updated by the Center for Devices and Radiological Health’s (CDRH) Office of Device Evaluation, Division of Dental, Infection Control and General Hospital Devices on November 14, 1997. The FDA has approved the use of these chemicals as either sterilants or high-level disinfectants with general claims for processing reusable medical and dental devices. Our list includes the manufacturer’s name, the chemicars trade name and the parameters for use. Further information on use of these agents can be found in Chapter 49 of this book.
