ABSTRACT
A constitutive model capable of accounting for time dependency and the quasi pre-consolidated effect is presented. The model adopts the concept of anisotropic bounding surface combined elastoplastic and viscoplastic theory to simulate secondary compression of quasi pre-consolidated clays. Predictive capability of the proposed model is confirmed by one dimensional consolidation tests.
