ABSTRACT

The fractal properties of different scale seismicity announce the chaotic behaviour of the seismicity generation processes. The generalised dimensions Dq and their time variations were calculated with the use of time series of the epicentre distributions, of the intertime between consecutive events and of the logarithms of energy for the local and regional scales of mining seismicity.

The phase space of the seismicity generation process was reconstructed. The analysis of the embedded attractor’s dimensions and the estimates of the greatest of Lyapunov exponent allow confirming the chaotic dynamics of the process.
