ABSTRACT
Displacements in a cable reinforced foot wall have been monitored by extenso-meter measurements. The results from these measurements have been evaluated in order to assess the behaviour of this foot wall. The foot wall belongs to a large open stope, mined by sublevel stoping. Results show that the cables are reducing displacements and simple calculation indicate a load, being 70 % of cable failure load.
