ABSTRACT
The paper describes the experience of extensive use in the hydroelectric developments of deep anchors made of deformed reinforcing bars of up to 25 m in length, installed in inclined boreholes or adits and subjected to prestressing by 500–1000 kN force. The conclusion of full applicability of the deformed reinforcing bars for such anchors is confirmed by the description of the available anchorage systems, tested technique and test monitoring of the prestress force in the anchors with the help of instruments.
