ABSTRACT
As a part of an inner city redevelopment project, a 400 m long cut and cover tunnel is constructed under the boulevard along the river Maas. The project is challenging due to the functional requirements, geometry, subsoil conditions and safety aspects. The paper focusses on all these topics.
