ABSTRACT

Urdalud is a roller compacted concrete (RCC) dam with a waterproof front of vibrated concrete

on its upstream face 1.65 m thick, constructed simultaneously with the dam. Since the end of construction on May 1993, the performance of the dam has been rather good. Nevertheless on 1999 occurred an accident bursting one inlet pipe. Although it has been repaired with success, important seepage are produced through the drainage system. In few weeks some works are to begin in order to seal the possible communications between the joints and some of the drains.
