Dynamic properties of CSG

The construction method with a cemented sand and gravel (CSG) is recently often used for concrete structures. In this background, the design method of a trapezoid-shaped dam with CSG is proposed as a new method.^{1), 2), 3)} It is reported that CSG has a nonlinearity.^{5), 6), 7), 8)} The nonlinearity is a property that makes shear rigidity decrease when a strain caused by cyclic loading increases. The authors conducted laboratory tests to confirm the dynamic properties of CSG. At first, we examined the static properties of CSG by the unconfined compression tests and triaxial compression tests. Then, we confirmed the dynamic properties of CSG by the cyclic triaxial tests.
